Jutta Ambrositsch
Satellit 2022
A wine that comes from the other side of the Danube - from the 21st district of Vienna; hence its name, 'Satellit.' The vines are planted on loess soils, giving something a little rounder. A touch of skin contact gives a bright crunchy taste, like biting straight into a green apple taken from the tree. Salty and moreish, this is a wine for quenching your thirst and for cooling you down in summer heat, or for giving you an energetic pick-me-up.
Here, on the left bank of the Danube, the soils are a little richer, producing wines with a bit more body. The oldest vines here were planted in the mid 80s, and are a mix of Riesling, Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, and Sauvignon Blanc.
The wine saw a few hours of skin contact and fermented naturally. It was aged in stainless steel to preserve its crisp acidity. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
