A truly show-stopping wine. First produced in 2014 when the grapes from Morel's Poulsard vines underwent so much damage, he chose to forgo maceration and instead opted for direct press and made a white wine. The end result was a wonderfully layered, thought-provoking blanc de noirs style wine, with notes of slate, red berries, pithy apricot and citrus fruit. If you haven't had the pleasure of tasting Valentin Morel's wines, this is a great place to start.
