Newcomer Wines

An Austrian Affair

Get to know the beating heart of Newcomer Wines, the country where it all started for us – Austria! Three cuvées from three producers based in three different Austrian winemaking regions – the perfect way to get acquainted with the wonderful wines of Austria.

This limited pack includes some one-off bottles that won't be restocked again, so don't miss out!

Jutta Ambrositsch, Glockenturm 2016 – A toasty and round Gemischtersatz – which is a historic way of planting vineyards and making wine in Austria – from Vienna, comprising 10 different white varietals. Vines are planted on the gravelly eastern slope in the Mukenthal vineyard, and farmed organically.

Markus Altenburger, Prickelnd Rosé NV – A Blaüfrankisch-based sparkling rosé, hailing from the Burgenland region of Austria. Markus is one of the first winemakers that Newcomer started working with, and a champion of both organic farming and Blaüfrankisch. Perfectly balanced, with a bright, refreshing acidity and notes of crunchy raspberries and summer fruits.

Alwin & Stefanie Jurtschitsch, Jungle 2020 – A light and elegant red made from 100% old-vine Sankt Laurent, a local grape variety. Grapes are farmed organically, and matured in small wooden barrels.
