You know that when you see the names 'Brutal' and 'Tschida' next to each other, you're in for a good time. Brutal wines are a collective producing experimental and rare cuvées with no added sulphur – exactly the kind of winemaking Tschida is known and loved for.
His Brutal 2022 is 100% Pinot Noir from vineyards all closely surrounded by forest and planted on chalky limestone mixed with a variety of gneiss and glimmer schist towards the upper part of the vineyards. The grapes are pressed with minimum pressure after having been on skins for about 2 weeks with minimum extraction, before spending time on full lees and in big Austrian oak foudres for at least 10 months.
