Château Sainte Anne
Bandol Rosé 2021
A perfect example of how natural winemaking can yield beautifully classic and traditional results. Château Ste Anne is a historical domaine in many ways: in addition to pioneering the creation of the Bandol AC, the five succeeding generations of Dutheil de La Rochère resisted the siren call of post-war chemically dependent agriculture, and proudly promoted organic farming from the 1970s.
Their Bandol Rosé 2021 is made the old-fashioned way – somewhat unusual among the top Bandol producers – using the 'saignée' method (bleeding the juice as opposed to a direct press). With its pale pink hue and notes of strawberries, garigue herbs, and a subtle sweet spice, this is a rosé that will delight old- and new-school drinkers equally.
