Glimmerschiefer 2019

Glimmerschiefer is a field blend wine from old vines rooted in mica schist soils in Kamptal, made primarily from Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and small amounts of other traditional local varieties. It is built around a linear, mineral-driven structure with vibrant acidity and a fine, stony tension throughout the palate. Subtle citrus, orchard fruit, and herbal notes sit in the background rather than taking the lead, giving the wine a restrained, savoury profile. The finish is long, precise, and deeply expressive.
