Jutta Ambrositsch
Rakete 2022
This is the kind of wine that makes you wish you were sitting in the park with your friends on a hot summer's day, sipping on something cold and delicious until the sun goes down. Immensely quaffable and full of bright, tart cranberries and cherries, we think this could be almost as thirst-quenching as water itself.
The wine comes from a field blend parcel of organically farmed Rotburger, Sankt Laurent, Blauburger, Merlot and the odd occasional white variety, planted in the early 80s, on the limestone soils of the Kahlenberg vineyard. It is rare to find red Gemischter Satz vineyards like this; and it is a true gem in the Ambrositsch stable.
The whole bunches were macerated for four days. The wine fermented naturally and was aged in stainless steel to preserve its bright freshness. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Tip: Serve it chilled and shake the bottle to wake it up. Put some R'n'B jams on, and once you've had a sip of this, you'll instantly sit back and relax before heading for a second bottle.
