Bleu de Hongrie 2023
This Kékfrankos (Blaufrankish) comes from volcanic soil in Hungary's Baloton region. A very expressive but drinkable red, it leads with black current and a juicy body followed by a touch of sour cherry, with a precise minerality and slight fleety note. 11 months in oak barrel makes this wine rounded, fruit forward and easy drinking.
