This Grüner Veltliner comes from various plots around the Velm-Götzendorf, a site rich in clay, loess, limey sandstone soils. The vines here are 15-55 years old, and yield fresh and vibrant fruit. This is a classic expression of this native Austrian variety - crisp and fruity with a delicate spicy character.
The grapes are hand harvested and spontaneously fermented in steel tanks after a short maceration. The wine is then aged for 3 months on the lees and undergoes battonage.
