This Gelber Muskateller comes from two cool locations: Haidthal and High Eck - two plateaus rich in loess and lime sandstone soils, just south of Velm-Götzendorf. The late harvest fruit comes from 10-25 year old vines and reaches optimal ripeness here while the coolness of the site maintains high levels of acidity. Floral, delicate, and wonderfully refreshing.
The grapes are hand harvested and macerated on the skins before being gently pressed and spontaneously fermented in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 3 months on the lees and undergoes battonage.
