'Weinberg' Blaufränkisch 2012


The Blaufränkisch grapes come from 40-50 year old vines planted on the iron rich loamy soils of the Weinberg vineyard.

The wine is spontaneously fermented in 500 litre open top barrels, pressed after 30 days, and then aged for 20 months in 500 litre and 1500 litre oak barrels. This is a structured, ageworthy Blaufränkisch.
